All these were based using Luke APS basing mixes. They are all Arid grassland with a few having a sprinkle of City rubble on too. Nice and quick to do, no painting sand involved.
Basing night, surely every gamer's least favourite day of the week. That Luke's APS stuff looks really good, how do you rate it vs. those GW texture paints?
Thank guys, I love the stuff well worth a visit to the store. The Arid grassland is a great match for my fantasy basing and an improvement on my Zulu basing. It will also be great for ACW. The nice thing about his basing mixes is it’s one dip and it’s all done apart from tufts. Saves a lot of time and looks good. He has other mixes for different terrains I wasn’t that impressed with rutted field but if you played blood ball it would be perfect. I think that’s what it was designed for to be honest. Anyway very good products, I’m a convert.

ReplyDeleteGreat choices for the basing- really suits the painting of the minis.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I think I am going to try it once do have some change from classic sand painting. Both for the effect and time saving.
ReplyDeleteThese look great! Love that you painted some to look like the Colonial Marines from Aliens! Made my day!
