I can hear the gentle voice of Bud Flanagan asking 'Who do you think you are kidding, Mr. Hitler ...'. Those being the days before just plain old 'Hitler'; people being so polite in the 1940s that they even referred to evil maniacs with an honorific 'Mr'. Strange how times change.
