I love the big Caesarean shields and their nice light blue colour. It's odd, but in some ways I think I prefer the Ceasarean shields to the more Imperial rectangular scutum. Can't really explain that.
It's sheer conjecture if the shield colour had any link to the marines, but it is a nice fancy, one perpetuated by certain authors.
This is a unit I've really wanted to do! Based on that Osprey...
