German Trenchers start to form up.

So with a box of Wargames Atlantic Bulldogs under my belt, I thought I would kit bash some into the project. The tunic they are wearing is perfect for a German soldier and just the right length.

The results were very nice and I think the British torsos make the best figure so far.

I purchased a pack of these resin guns from a store in Shepherds Bush. They have great detail and are obviously meant to be used with Imperial Guard figures. They are made by Maxmini and we're a real lucky find.

The soldier below is a heavy weapons trooper. The gun could be some kind of rapid firing heat gun.

Another Bulldog body with sci-Fi German paratrooper arms and weapon. WWI head from the WA box.

This figure was created to act as the sergeant of the first squad. He carries the second Automatic rifle of the unit. I put a radio on his back with a comm device on his belt. The distinct backpack will help to keep track of him on the table.

He also carries a pistol for close combat.
I also swopped out the head of the flamethrower. It comes from Maxmini again and goes very well with the others. He is a specialist and so has unique headgear to go with his roll.

The two new 'Bulldog' creations. Very pleased with these, also the gasmasks fit really well on them.

A third ,'Bulldog' creation. This time using bits from a German WWII sprue.

It's nice to have a firing pose.

The Bulldogs torsos.

I took the tricky decision to drill out the gun barrels. I've always had bad luck doing this. However, this time I predrilled a smaller hole first to act as a guide. This worked much better and the results were good.

I stuck a piece of sprue on top of Panzerfuast. This just makes it look a little more 'weird war'.
Handy heads from Maxmini.EU.

My first squad is finished. Two NCOs with automatic rifles. Six riflemen and two Grenadiers.
