I thought I'd make a piece of removable baggage out of stones and waste MDF.
Once covered with a wet wipe, the baggage was then given a wash of watered down PVA. A nice little side project that is a change from painting.
This cart will also be useful for fantasy and most eras I game.I dug out some other carts that have been hanging around for years. It's good to do them all at once, I might even paint up some horses.
The canvas bundle was given a xenithol highlight.
The finishing touches were a layer of mud on the wheels and some straw. I added a little light brown to the mud to create a highlight, this worked well.
These carts have been dragged around on campaign in the English countryside.

Wow. From an uninspiring MDF kit, they now look excellent.
