Royalist Horse WIP

Here are some more cavalry to bolster the numbers of the Royalists. Again, I've gone for an armoured look rather than the floppy hat cavalier cliché.
This squadron will join the recently finished one to form a regiment of horse. Most of the troopers are from Essex miniatures and are mounted on plastic horses.

Dark tone dip has been brushed on to help with the shading. I did give the figure a wash of soft tone first though, this really helps with the buff leather.
The trumpeter has a nice snazzy satchel to keep things in. I thought because of his status, he needs something a bit nicer that a cloth sack for his loot.
The trumpeter was given a black and red tunic to match the standard of the unit. It's a nice detailed figure from Renegade miniatures with lots of nice raised detail, great to painting.

Update. All are now matt varnished and based up.

A Redoubt miniatures officer leads the charge with his pistol.

Both squadrons together, making a full regiment in Victory without Quarter.
