Its time to cover the gaps and add some extras to these brave men of Cardolan. Chain mail is such a tricky thing to do, but I'm determined to keep trying until I've cracked it. I have the method worked out it's just the practice that is difficult.
Cowls and cloaks I find much easier, this one has a 3D printed look to it.
This chain isn't great, but I'm hoping that it won't look too bad once painted.
This chain coif needed to be extended to cover the arm joints. It looks a bit better than my first attempt but I've still got some way to go.
This is better, a nice easy cloak extension to cover the joins.
I had a go at adding some folds in the mail after the detailing had been finished.
I used a Fireforge head on another torso. I like the 'House Stark' style helmets and thought it would be a good idea to sprinkle them throughout the units. Not just have them on the hulking Fireforge bodies.
Cardolan troops start to muster.
The little bits of putty left over were used to make little pouches.
A cloak to cover a multitude of sins.

You are too modest. Your work with green stuff makes it look easy. Great job on the folds. The details you add always make the figures unique and more dramatic. I check your blog daily. Gary in Texas
Thank you Gary, that's really kind of you. I do like the idea of creating unique forces that don't exist anywhere else. That's where the green stuff really comes into its own. Thanks again :).
