Centurion Macro

This tough old veteran is Centurion Macro from the 'Eagle' series, written by Simon Scarrow. I made my way through his first four novels before the tug of factual books tore me away. However, finding myself dealing more and more with unruly Celts has lead me back to pick up where I left off. Very enjoyable reads and good food for the imagination.

Back on the Romans? I'm painting Romans again, tomorrow.

I have some smaller-28 painted Roman command figures going spare. Any use to you?

Hi BRB many thanks but I have my hands full with these noisy Celts. They've taken over most flat surfaces in the house and the poor old Romans are in full retreat.

Scarrow is light and easily digested. Good for the mood but alas it is a bit of a dramatization.

Just been looking back through my older Posts and i've found a comment from Simon Scarrow himself. At the time I didn't follow the link because I thought It was my mate messing around, but no It was the man himself. His Blog stopped in 2007 but I coulddn't resist leaving him a comment, even though he'll never see it.

Macro! I'm reading those books right now. Did you ever do Cato too?
