Man oh man! I am enjoying following this campaign. You do a great job writing it up, it's just like a season of the t.v. show "Rome" or one of Stephen Dando Collins' books! I must say, I worry about this Alanicus fellow. He's a crafty bugger isn't he? Still, I wonder if he'll prove as good a general as he has a mafioso?

Could you post somewhere what rules and campaign mechanics you are using? I've a good sized EIR army and would love to try something similar. My friends and I have just started a Marian-era campaign.

I have picked one up myself, for Renaissance gaming, Roman gaming, or both.
I think that it should be easy enough to convert, simply by cutting the vertical part down to size, and perhaps by either replacing the ball with a 15mm scale mythological figure-as-statuary, or simply cutting it off altogether. I'm just not so sure about how Roman the lion mask would be ...

Hmm, it looks as if that fountain would not be very Roman-looking, after all, even if they did, sometimes, use lion motifs. Sorry!
