Hats off to Warlord Games for producing a huge mountain of Roman equipment to support their growing range. This week I bought Scutums with Pilum attached, very useful for skirmishing units and these covered Scutums. A nice touch and a worthy addition to any baggage train. Now the troops actual look like they're packed for the journey.
If there are any savage Germans eyeing this baggage train with greedy expressions...don't even think about it! At least wait until we clear the forest before you try anything.

Excellent! I love civilians, baggage, animals, and so forth. I have 1st Corps' old Roman surveyors set that I've been meaning to paint up forever. It's full of fun tools, and non-fighting poses, but the Legionaries' hair style is atrocious! (mullets galore)
Did you see I painted my 1/72 baggage cart? I was wondering what to put in my next wagon. A pile of scuta is a good idea! It would also be quick and easy to simply drape a wagon with a paper tarp.
I know what you mean about not having proper hobby-time. I was hoping to paint this weekend, but instead I have some quick-turnaround book projects to do.

No he's just in a really bad mood and is sulking with his arms folded. Slaves do this a lot you know. As soon as the Centurion clears the blocked road he'll take his vine staff to him. That'll snap him out of it.
