Woodelf Shieldwall WIP

Here is another stand of Silvan elves. They form another part of the shieldwall and should slot in with the others.
Some nice printed shields from eBay take away the need to paint any designs. Just a dry brush is needed to bring out the details.

These two elves from Alternative armies, I thought were a little too green, so later I tweaked the archer to blend in more.
Spears hold back the goblins, while axes take down any who breach the shields.
Some of the elves have decorated weapons just to add a little class to their ranks.

Forming up with the rest of the unit.

"Hold them...hold them!"

A nice Alternative armies woodelf adds some nice detail amongst all the plastic figures.

I repainted the archer with a brown hood to tie everyone together.
Thranduil the elven king with his expensive clothes and armour.

A elven bard to sing of all the great deeds of the king in battle. A nice figure from Reaper miniatures.
Another nice find on eBay, a large elven shield.

The brown hood looks a lot better.
A small gap in the wall is all that's needed for an elven marksman.

Some of the recent bases again.

Reaper do make some lovely stuff, some of it quite out there, but very useful.
