Fuss 'n' Feathers

I have yet to add the commander and standard bearer to the unit.

I'm glad to see the back of those guys!

I'm working on two books at the moment at home so my time is quite flexable. It just means I end up still working at ten at night and the weekends.
Also the morning light is not to be missed for photo shoots.

I'm going to grab a sneaky half hour's painting at lunchtime...

Very nice - I do like the effect you get on the buff coats...

Thanks, I use the Foundry paint system for the colour. Luckily they actually produce a Buff leather three colour paint set. To add a little variety into the unit, I paint some of the coats in the Drab scheme. There are also a few half and half mixes in there as well.

I find the Foundry systems really handy and have just bought a few more, they are exspensive but do save a lot of time, which is handy when you have an army to paint.

I am really happy with their horse colours (see post) as they take a lot of strain out of painting time. I have just tried the Palomino scheme which worked great...I recommend them.

Second the comments - impressive unit and a good choice of colours. Reminds me of my finished harquebusiers who are still in need of proper basing...
Love to see 17th century stuff, always good to get some inspiration.

Cheers
