Creating Autobot Huffer

Hound gets a decal and is ready to roll.
The pessimistic Huffer is a classic Autobot and one that I was keen to create. Known for his can't do attitude, he was a small Autobot but one of the strongest in the original cast.

Ironically he is made up of a Optimus Primes body with a Megatron head. He also has loads of plastic card on him too to help shape him a little. The smokestack arms are quite instrumental to his look.

He actually turned out quite good and I'm pleased that he is recognisable as his name's sake.
I used the yellow speed paint to paint him which was perfect for the job.

I think he's my only robot who has part of his vehicle mode incorporated into his design. Buying these cheap lorry toys paid off, as I managed to use parts of one to make his hood.

Let's take a look at the new heavy bots with their alt modes.

Decals have been added to the new vehicles showing their allegiance.
Recoil and Impactor have the look of heavy photon mortars with their immense cannons.
The Decepticon triple changer, Blitzwing has a tank mode too, this could lead to some great long range duels.
Impactor turns up with some re-enforcements.

Slammer's tank mode looks good with its own Autobot decal.

Huffer joins the strike team. Despite his small stature, I'd have no problem with him joining a unit with an armour save...he's tough!

Huffer has helped Prime on more than one occasions.

"You're a true friend Huffer"
