Woa, now. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Death to all Romans? Some of my best friends are Romans! What about those nice Roman traders that visit your side of the Rhine to bring wine, cloth, and other durable goods. Surely, you don't want to bring death to those nice chaps? A barbarian "culture" like yours could do with a little Romanization, don't you think?
There's a new guy turned up in the village, he's been saying a lot of things like that recently. He served with their cavalry for a bit and keeps banging on about the soft under belly or something. Anyhow, a lot of the younger bucks are quite taken with him and have started to attend secret meeting at night in the wald...you know, the marshy bit. Anyway It doesn't look good to me. Next thing I know, this guy turns up at the door, half four in the morning, shouting his head off and waving his axe about...trouble I says to myself!
Drawn in pen then scanned into Photoshop and quickly coloured. I cover the image with a multiply layer of colour, then use the shade tool to give it a bit of detail.
Do you also do realistic illustrations? I think you should offer your services to Ancient Warfare magazine. The article authors are always fun to work with, I know the editor has been looking for more image sources, and I know he likes your stuff, because that's how I found about about this blog.
I like to just do cartoons really as they are quick to do. I don't think I would have any time left really to do extra work, at the moment I still sketch the odd drawing or two for the blog, but thats me taking time out.
Arrrr Druid Badofix...are you still brewing up trouble with those northern tribes? Why don't you just come down and turn yourself in, Roman justice is very just indeed when It comes to Druids.

I love your artwork. Is it digital or pen & ink work?
