I had the idea of buying some cheap Sci-Fi toys to see if I could recreate Cybertron...or any space setting for that matter.
I found this Nano bot set which really ticked the boxes. Lots of roads and tall space structures. It has got loads of nice textured panels that should shade nicely.
The set also comes with some great little battlefield bits that can be turned into useful terrain.
I will keep the blue transparent plastic doors and rooves as they add a nice future touch. Added bonus, the doors open and close... perfect.
The idea is to spray this purple and place on top of the Infinity map I bought earlier. The two should blend together and form a nice Cybertronian landscape. The best bit is the set is modulated so you can take it to pieces and create any layout you like. Great for creating scenarios like rescue missions etc.
Raiding the energon stores can be very perilous, speed is of the essence.
