Tommy Heavy Infantry WIP

More 3D prints, this time of the human variety. I quite like these as they show some great Dieselpunk qualities. The Lewis gun is a nice WWI nod too.

These guys are encased in a primitive exo skeleton, complete with Goggles.

Although these are sold as 28mm, I did think they looked a little on the short side. This was quickly fixed by sticking them on a piece of plastic base first, then onto the wooden one. Once covered in mud and snow, you'll never know.

They definitely give off the vide of heavy infantry with their thick armour. I'm finding some real gems on these 3D printing sites.

But how long will the 3D prints last before degrading?

Oh right...do they degrade?

Uncertain, but plastic and resin both degrade over time. Especially if they are exposed UV light and other factors.

3D printed objects made from PLA can last from a month, to 2 years and up to many years. It can break down at different rates depending on its environment. Moisture and high temperature can be factors in degradation. Resin can be very brittle.
