My little boy spent along time making something in secret, when I went to see what he was up to...he revealed he was recreating DDay.
They fought on the beaches...
American troops pour out of their landing craft to assault the German emplacements.
Canadian troops join the assault a few moments later.
Unfortunately the invasion was called off due to inclement weather. Hopefully tomorrow will be more favourable.

Ah, the imagination of little boys - reminds me of my childhood, in the 1960s, playing with my Lone Star desert set in the sandpit. It looks like those Allied troops have had an update in weaponry and their helmets might lead to them being mistaken for Germans.
