Dip Results in ECW

Finally dry enough to spray with a layer of Testors dull coat, the results were good. I gave each figure two layers with the dull coat, leaving enough time for the first to dry. I also sprayed into the heated air of a hair dryer I had hung on the wall, this is just to guard against frosting. It has been raining here. I have tried this method before and I think the results are better for it.

Gurney's Horse are almost ready to take the field.
The Testors dull-coat does tend to be very matte though, I will give the armour a coat of brush on matte varnish, this has a slightly satin look and should look good on the metal.

They look great, you're going to smash through your lead pile in no time!

Those turned out great; just the perfect amount of dip to give the base coat depth. Really well done. Are they Essex figures?

The Pikeman and musketeers are Bicorne and Renegade miniatures, Cavalry are Essex.

On the pikeman with the helmet may I ask how did you achieve the `cast-iron' colour?

Its a lovely new colour i found from GW called corvus black. Its a black/grey but its great for the black paint they painted on armour to water proof it. I think its new because i had never seen it before. I bought another pot this week because i was so impressed.
